Brave Conversations

Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of PD’s Race Relations Initiative

In honor of the tenth anniversary of Professional Dimensions’ Race Relations Initiative and the pioneering work of the women who championed its founding, the first program of our 2017-2018 year will showcase the rich history and inspiring results of this work.

The event will feature three individuals who will share their stories of transformation after participating in brave conversations. Speakers will include:

  • A PD woman who participated in a PD Conversation Circle and has been changed forever
  • A participant of the Unlearning Racism program at the YWCA, an organization that was fundamental to the development of our Conversations Circles curriculum
  • A participant of the recent African American Leadership Milwaukee Strategic Actioning Session, a group of 80 diverse leaders, including 12 PD members, who came together to increase access to economic resources and sustainable leadership opportunities for African Americans in Milwaukee

Plum Moving Media is generously donating their time and talents to help us tell our story through a series of web videos, some of which we will highlight at the luncheon.

This outstanding program will be catered by PD member Yollande Tchouapi Deacon of Irie Zulu, a local Milwaukee restaurant that fuses traditional African and Jamaican cuisines.

You do not want to miss this one-of-a kind program. Please join us to help mark this incredible milestone and celebrate our progress.
