Dinner Program: Professional Development for the PD Woman

    Let's talk "Professional Development"
We believe the most important person you can invest in is you. As a leader and systems thinker, it is crucial that we are clear and intentional about what we intend to achieve; and that we have a plan for how to get there. Our first PD Dinner Program of the new year will present an opportunity to broaden member understanding of what professional development is for the PD Woman, revisit the annual theme "Start With You" as defined during our Ideation Summit, and help members understand how to position their mindset do create real change in their personal and professional world.

Presenters: Lauryn and William Deck, MindBusiness LLC

In this month’s presentation, Lauryn and William will be presenting on an important topic entitled “Identifying Your Why”, which focuses on developing mission-clarity in one’s personal life. When you become clear on your life’s purpose and the fundamental “why” for getting out of bed each morning, you will be able to derive value in everything that you do. Once your inspiration becomes your purpose, you then have a strong foundation to set goals and execute your grand “mission”.

As a membership here at PD, we want you to be empowered from the inside-out. We want you to be whole mentally and emotionally so that you can bring your “best version” to your work and family each day. We believe that “Mental Fitness” is a most relevant topic right now, and this presentation will be an great introduction for you all!

PD Luncheon: Milwaukee Politics | Understanding Power and Voting to Advance Inclusivity

PD was founded by women who were deeply committed to collective support, and aware of the power that lies in collective voice. As active citizens and leaders, our perspective and influence can guide the way our world works. We believe it is our civic responsibility to understand each other's beliefs, across experience and party lines to inform our advocacy. We must also form and express opinions about how elected officials, board leaders and individuals with positional power operate to create a more inclusive ecosystem. Join us as we convene representatives with political influence for discussion on policy and power. We seek to land on a series of bipartisan initiatives that unite us and allow us to advance inclusivity in our city and surrounding areas.

Professional Dimensions’ Imprint award was created in 2021 to recognize two women who are making a lasting mark in their career, community and collaborations. Like the definitions of “imprint,” they are both successful and supportive. They truly embody the well-rounded character trait, and Professional Dimensions is honored to celebrate their lasting impacts.

    2022 Imprint Award Award Winners

Congratulations to Kamilah Williams-Kemp, Vice President of Risk Products at Northwestern Mutual, and Raquel Filmanowicz, Director of the Economic Equity Advisory Group for Commercial Banking at BMO Harris Bank who are our 2022 Awardees! Williams-Kemp and Filmanowicz will be recognized at the annual Imprint Awards event on March 24, 2022, at the Saint Kate Hotel

These two women have made an impact on the community and rose to the top because of their prominent leadership in and for Milwaukee. They advocate for this community nationally and internationally.

This year during Financial Literacy Month we look forward to exploring the variety of ways our members give, and understanding the power of women's time, talent and treasures. From a refresher on the latest in socially responsible investing  and building a strategic giving portfolio to a deep dive into the transformational work of redefining philanthropy with our Charitable Fund, PD members will be empower to quantify and strategize about the power of giving. As leaders, we understand the importance of being conscious about how our individual and group "spend" can advance or discourage equity in our city. We hope you will join us for this important conversation!
