Professional Dimensions has been hosting Conversation Circles since 2009. The objective is to bring women of color and white women together to have meaningful and challenging conversations designed to break down barriers, discuss issues of race and confront systemic racism in an open and honest way.
The sessions, beginning in October 2020, run for 5 consecutive weeks. Due to COVID-19, the original format has been modified. Instead of in-person meetings over a light meal, all Circles will be held virtually.
Participants are expected to:
1. Bring their authentic self
2. Commit to attending all 5 sessions
3. Complete pre-work assignments (which will be limited to short videos and/or readings)
4. Be respectful as participants learn about one another
The circles are from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Participation is limited to 10 women in order to promote relationship-building and an environment conductive to meaningful conversations.
Conversation Circles will be held every Tuesday with the exception of November 3, Election Day.
