Founded in 1994, Step Afrika! is the first professional Dance Company in the world dedicated to the tradition of stepping. The Company blends percussive dance styles practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities with traditional West and Southern African dances and an array of contemporary dance and art forms into a cohesive, compelling artistic experience.

In addition to this event with PD, we have a variety of community engagement taking place with this performance.
Two masterclasses will be held and are free and open to the public: one for adults and one for youth. The attached flyers have further information on each masterclass and if you have anyone in your network that loves dance and would like to participate, please feel free to share the information with them. An added bonus is that our Cultural Ambassador, Donald Driver, will also be in attendance at each masterclass!
