Professional Dimensions has emerged from their time of transition and strategic reimagination with renewed spirit. And our racial equity work remains key to that PD spirit.
For Professional Dimensions, advancing racial equity means intentionally making space to learn from and celebrate the diverse communities that shape our region. With this in mind, PD will offer regular socials for a low-effort, high-impact way for members to gather, build authentic relationships, and deepen our shared understanding of local cultures.
Kicking off our new Racial Equity Community Socials, Professional Dimensions will gather at the Marcus Performing Arts Center’s Native Heritage Celebration to honor Indigenous culture and history in Milwaukee.
The Experience
Wisconsin has one of the largest concentrations of Native American Tribes east of the Mississippi River. This gathering offers an opportunity for PD women to learn about and celebrate the rich histories, traditions, and living cultures of Wisconsin’s Native Nations while connecting with one another in an informal setting.
4:30 pm | Gathering & Native Heritage Spotlight
PD attendees will meet up as a group for a brief welcome and a short spotlight on Native American heritage in Wisconsin featuring Native Heritage Celebration Organizer and Community Leader Tracie Sparks. In addition to acknowledging the ancestral lands we will also celebrate the contemporary Indigenous community thriving in our city today.
5:00 pm | Native Heritage Celebration
Together, we’ll step into the main celebration at Peck Pavilion to an evening that honors Indigenous voices and deepens our appreciation for the diverse cultures that enrich our state. The celebration features:
6:30 pm | Gathering & Native Heritage Spotlight
Before leaving the celebration, PD women are invited to gather together again to share perspectives and learnings from the event.
Whether this is your first PD gathering or you’ve been involved for years, all members are welcome. Come listen, learn, and connect with your PD community.
