As you all know, October is WI Tech Month, and we’ll learn more about what that means after an insightful and inspiring conversation with THEE Tech CEO herself, Nadiyah Johnson. Nadiyah (pronounced NUH-DEE-UH) is a STEM advocate who loves to learn and teach. She founded Jet Constellations to ensure Milwaukee's tech scene mirrors its diverse population. Alongside Latinos in Tech, Nadiyah is branding Milwaukee as “The Milky Way Tech Hub” and actively provides a platform for companies, organizations, and individuals to showcase their innovations and expertise.
As always, we want our members to become familiar with Nadiyah’s story as a woman who is leading in Milwaukee. Hard stop. We then want to explore the intersections of all of her “professional dimensions” and identities as she brings us into the world of Tech.
In preparation for Nadiyah, you can type her name in your search engine of choice, and catch her podcast “Down to Mars” where she interviews industry experts and talks strategy on how to diversify STEM fields.
As you’re thinking of questions to ask Nadiyah, text them to me (414.581.9230)! Here are some questions I want to ask:
What aspects of your journey have been most formative in who you are today?
How should we as cross-sector women leaders be thinking about technology?/ What should we be discussing more frequently in our daily interactions?
How can we better leverage advancements in technology to grow our businesses?
What is the role of tech in uniting women in pursuit of better? / What is the role of technology in advancing or limiting equity?
What industry insights and takeaways from tech week can you share?/ Coolest new advancements and information you’ve been exposed to through talking with industry leaders?
How can Professional Dimensions support you?
